PRCEF Community Giving in Action

he Pottstown Rotary Community Endowment Fund presented a check for $3,750 to the Montgomery County Community College Foundation to providing bussing for Pottstown Middle School students to attend the Challenger Learning Center. The Pottstown Rotary Club partnered with the Blue Bell Rotary Club to secure a Rotary District 7430 grant for $4,000 to provide hygiene items to MCCC's new Wellness Center in Pottstown. PRCEF Community Grants

The PRCEF provides financial support for worthy, non-profit organizations in the greater Pottstown Community. The PRCEF evaluates applications for their ability to meet human needs in our community, the quality of the program to deliver the services, and the match to the overall strategy of the club to have a broad, but meaningful impact in the community.

What is the size of the grant?

The basic PRCEF grant is in the range of $500 to $5,000.  There are numerous grants each year.    

What are the requirements for funding?

·    The mission of the organization and purpose of the proposed grant must be to provide humanitarian services that address a community need in the greater Pottstown community.

·    Applicant must be an IRS recognized, non-profit organization.

PRCEF Scholarship Fund for Pottstown High School Student
 
Four $500 scholarships are awarded each year to Pottstown High School students who plan to attend a vocational school or a two- or four-year college.
  1. Is a senior at Pottstown High School
  2. Is a citizen of the United States or a lawful permanent resident
  3. Embodies the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self” through performance of community service in a program sponsored by a community, school or service organization
  4. Statement of financial need
  5. Has the endorsement of the Pottstown Rotary Club or PRCEF Board representative
 
Who is eligible?
  1. Is a senior at Pottstown High School
