TCN was formed in 2006 to provide resources and opportunities for nonprofits to succeed in their mission and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the community. Over the years, we’ve grown into a network that brings together over 120 agencies and individuals to tackle community challenges together.
Vision:
TCN will cultivate a network of community changemakers, working hand in hand to create solutions for the pressing needs in our community. We will also provide a real-time learning laboratory for nonprofits and individuals, fostering their growth and development as community-changing forces.
Founded in 1964, Pottstown Dance Theatre provides exceptional education in the art of dance. We have positively affected dance students’ lives for over fifty years and have consistently been voted “Best Dance School” by Mercury Readers for over a decade.
Pottstown Dance Theatre focuses on the growth of students as individuals. We believe that since dance is a performing art, performance experience is integral to dance education and our teaching curriculum and dance lessons span the entire year. We do not just place a heavy emphasis on a spring recital. We offer a variety of enriching opportunities for students to both perform and further their skills.
Our students have received acclaim at Youth American Grand Prix (international dance competition), The Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival, and have been chosen for pre-professional programs at PA Academy of Ballet, The Pennsylvania Ballet, The Rock School, Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance (NYC), American Ballet Theatre, The Bolshoi Ballet (NYC), The Joffrey Ballet, The Cleveland Ballet and have become dancers in Momix, Paul Taylor Dance Company (Kennedy Center Honoree), Atlantic Festival Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. Other protégés of the director have received full scholarships to the Juilliard School in New York, danced for Alvin Ailey, Beyoncé, and have become teachers, choreographers, and dance artists in their own right.
At Miller-Keystone Blood Center, our mission is to save lives by partnering with our community to provide a continuous supply of blood products and services.
Founded in 1971, we serve as the sole blood provider for 35 hospitals in eastern PA and western NJ.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center is a member of America’s Blood Centers, a national network of independent, non-profit community blood centers that provide approximately 60% of the blood products transfused in the United States. We are not affiliated with the American Red Cross.
For over 40 years, we have been one of the nation’s best regarded, highly experienced blood centers, delivering safe, reliable blood products when the community needs them most.
From time to time our fellow Rotarians find causes that are near and dear to their hearts and have a great impact on the community that require some giving of items or funds. This section will house all of those things, from ongoing items to ones for a specific time frame.
The Period Project with the Tri-County YWCA is ongoing. School has started again, and with it, the continuing need to provide feminine hygiene products for girls in Pottstown and the Pottsgroves. Girls who have to miss school because they cannot afford period products lose up to a week each month. Please consider making a monetary or in kind donation. St. Paul's Diaper Bank is located at 927 N. Franklin St in Pottstown and it provides free diapers, wipes and other essentials to low income families in Pottstown. The Diaper Bank is open every Wednesday from 10am-12pm. We are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of families we serve each week and welcome donations of unopened childrens' diapers and pull-ups in any and every size, as well as wipes. We are the only Diaper Bank of its kind for the Pottstown community and we would like to expand our hours in order to help more families, but we can only do that with donations and community support.

Rotary clubs channel their commitment to service at home and abroad through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity. Youth Service, one of the five, recognizes the importance of empowering youth through leadership development programs. Rotary Youth Exchange is one of many youth leadership development programs offered by Rotary and was started in 1920 by Rotary International.
Daphne Lobet, our exchange student from Belgium, has headed back to her home after what has been a year full of great experiences, including her discovery of Chick-fil-A! Thank you to all the Club members and host families who provided opportunities to her. Do you know a student who you would like to see have this same growth experience? Now is the time to talk with them and get them to talk with Lauren McCloskey or Mike McCarthy. The world is open!
